Drei Schnittbücher: 3 16th c Austrian Master Tailor Books - KICKSTARTER

Remember the old days, when you and 20 of your friends were lucky to find a copy of the Single Leaf Woodcuts at the local library to pour over? And now? BAM! Not one but THREE previously unpublished German tailoring books - photographed, documented, translated and diagrammed. This is the work of Katherine Barich and Marion McNealy and represents *years* of research, travel and investment on their part. There has never been another book of this kind for the type of clothing that we all wear. And…See More

Here is a site for wooden bowls. They are a bit on the expensive side, but they sell sets of small wooden condiment bowls that seem pretty reasonable.

Sorry I didn´t see your wish for joining Trossen until now. I have to check if someone is pending "manually", so it´s easy to miss.
But you are welcome even if you will have some trouble getting to our meetings.

Thank you for that. I have not been particularly social lately. That combined with my total loss of patience and respect for DHF, if not for individuals within it, has not made me the most welcome company in some circles. But the way I figure, this is how you learn your friends from your acquaintances. I am blessed that I can help out my mom when she needs help the most, but I still hope for a miracle.
But enough of me. How are you doing? I realize that I know nothing of your life lately. I hope it is bringing you accomplishment, satisfaction and joy. How is that bum you graced with your companionship? (lol), Tell him I wish him well. Later,
PS do you know anyone who wants to buy a period tent and full accouterments? I doubt I will be camping like that again. Tell Chris the weapons are not for sale, (lol).

Hey there. Strangely enough, I cannot reply to your post in the thread about the Event. I know the "textiler Hausrat" for ages (one of the books you automatically stumble over here if you do proper research), though I´m looking for a hardcopy which is hard to come by. Thank you nonetheless. It is always a book well to be recommended.

I sent you a friendship request which makes communicating easier. :-)

You're WAY too kind to me! But the old Waffenrock was built like a tank, it will stand up in the corner on its own. At least I think that's why it will stand on it's own... might be the encrustations of crud over the years, though!

I still play German on occasion... some folks are easily impressed, even with my ancient waffenrock that's older than most people!
