I am working on my Garb, being close to finishing my first proper shirt (those dang pleats ^^). The patterns are basically finished, I'm just changing the Wams slightly.

My profile picture has been done by the allmighty Jan Dinspel: http://www.dinspel.de/

Hello! I expected that you would have read the Textiler Hausrat (I have only read the sections that Katherine Barich has translated thus far on the GermanRenCostume Yahoo group). I am slowly - slowly, slowly - learning to read and speak German. It is harder to do here in the US than you would think, all the schools offer Spanish as a foreign language here on the West Coast, but only a few offer any German. Most of those only offer about a year of classes total. :P

Thank you for adding me as a friend, it's pretty clear that we are on the same page when it comes to research. :)

Your LARP website was very helpful since I was looking for more hat patterns. Your group looks good and is very different from US LARPs.

I was stationed not far from you several years ago. I lived in a small village just north of SchwaBisch Hall, Dottingen. We hope to come back over and visit next summer and try to catch a few SCA events at least. It does not sound like you are SCA but I would appreciate any reenactment event suggestions too. I did not have many weekdays off when I lived there so I am trying to find things to see then too like museums.

Were you looking for Landsknecht armour sources? -Karl

I was not able to go to an event with the fähnlein but they seem to be a bunch of nice people. Probably this year. :-)
